First Impressions of Qidi Tech X-one(2)

Fun little printer. Right out of the box, you'll be printing nice prints in 30 minutes. I really like the touchscreen controller! It is very intuitive and easy to use. The print is pretty good but to get real good quality I've had to slow down the print speed but generally it prints well and realiably. It has a tiny build area, only 140mm x 140mm x 140mm. Can be quit limiting. It utilizes a heated alluminum bed but it works ok. Had a bit of a challenge getting PLA to stick to it. Have been using a glue stick for best results. The filament spool mounts on the back and can be hard to reach but the filament load process is excellent. Looks like it might print ABS well with the enclosed print area and heated bed that reaches 110C, although I've not printed any ABS with it to confirm this.

Pros:
* The PRICE is great for a fully enclosed already assembled product, considering its all metal and aluminum construction, quality parts and print quality.
* My favorite feature is the easy to use touch-screen LCD panel.
* Heating hot end and bed is very quick.

Cons:
* Printer spool is on the back of the machine and can be hard to reach.
* Small print bed.

Issues:
* The headed aluminum bed tends to not stick to the PLA.

So far, I'm very pleased with this printer. It's pretty darn easy to get started and is pretty much a hands off printer once you have your settings in place. Just select the g-code on the display and go.

There are two brands of fiilament that we really like and highly recommend. Hatchbox is our preferred filament and Paramount is runner up. Both work excellent on our printers. Paramount has a lot of excellent colors to choose from. Both brands are available from Amazon and you can access our recommended list here.
